'Zen' the Chinese Elm - Marbled Pot

This unique Zen the Chinese Elm Tree in our Marbled Gray Acorn Planter evokes a playful twist on a classic favorite. This Marbled Gray Acorn Planter with its dreamy off-white and slate-gray swirls and finished with a glossy glaze is a special collaboration with NYC ceramic artist Jonathan Castro.

I’m Zen, the Chinese Elm (Ulmus parviflora), native to Japan and Eastern China. I’m known for my fine-toothed leaves, graceful lines and attractive bark. I'm a prolific grower in spring and summer, and provide lots of pruning options.

I do best in full to partial sun conditions. You can water me once every 5-7 days, or more it it’s really hot or dry. To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for 10 minutes and let me drain thoroughly. I benefit from good air circulation so keep me in a room with a fan or open window. In winter, keep me in a cool location far from heaters.

Symbolism: As a Wood element tree in Feng Shui, the Chinese Elm conveys balance and stability. Its 'Zhen' Chi makes it an auspicious choice for the ability to attract positive energy, promoting success and good fortune in various parts of life.
