This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it!

I’m Birdie the Caribbean Banyan, native to Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. I have a thick trunk with curly, pointy leaves that droop down like a weeping willow tree. I represent the wild side of Banyan strength and energy, and can take shadier conditions than most other Banyan trees. I'm considered the beginner's bonsai for my relatively easy care and can tolerate a wide range of indoor conditions.

I have a thick main trunk that divides into many branches that support a dense canopy. With enough humidity, I’ll sport aerial roots that hang from my branches. I’m comfortable grown indoors, but also like nice days spent outside in the warmer months.

Keep me in temperatures between 55-80 ̊F. I like bright indirect light and get watered about once every 5-7 days, or when my pot feels about 1/2 lighter. Monitor well and water more often in hot and dry environments alike. To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for 5-10 minutes and let drain well.

Symbolism: After attaining enlightenment, Buddha was believed to have sat under a Banyan tree for seven days, absorbed in his new-found realization. Generally, the Banyan encourages stability and steadfastness in Feng Shui. The Banyan's Wood element feeds Fire in the productive cycle, symbolizing expansion and the chance for continuous growth and enhanced wealth or success. Its 'Zhen' Chi gives this tree the ability to balance out transformative energy, promoting a stability amidst change.

Includes basic care instructions. We always recommend doing more research as each environment-- and tree!-- is unique. Plate sold separately.
