All our porcelain pots are designed by us and hand-thrown locally. These take time to look so good. Unglazed on the outside to show the warm matte gray, these are soft to the touch and easy to grip.
All pots have large holes that allow for air circulation and proper water drainage. Compared to traditional bonsai pots, the added height holds more soil, allowing for longer intervals between watering — perfect for the busy yet mindful urban grower.
Inspired by the humble acorn, its rounded, easy-to-carry shape feels natural in the hand and grounding in the home. The acorn holds a special place in New York City’s history, too. Long before it was known as Governors Island, the Lenape called it Pagganck, or Nut Island, for the abundance of oak, hickory, and chestnut trees that grew there. This landscape of generosity and renewal inspires the vessels in which we grow our tiny trees.
