I’m Kiki, the Pink Mountain Serissa, and native to open woodlands and wet meadows in southeast Asia. I'm from the genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. I sport little white flowers and bloom often throughout the year, which is how I got my nickname, ‘Tree of a Thousand Stars.’

Full disclosure: I am a bit on the finicky side and am best suited for someone with bonsai experience and a lot of patience. I don't like to be moved around too much as that can cause me to stress out by yellowing my leaves. I also prefer for my conditions to be just right. I will yellow and drop leaves if my soil is too wet or too dry. I will also yellow and drop leaves if i'm not getting enough sun or if I'm getting too much sun.

I will thrive indoors in bright indirect light but also like being outdoors during the spring and summer. Keep me in temperatures above 50 ̊F all year. To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for about 20 minutes, and drain well. Do this about once every 7-10 days, or when my pot feels 1/2 lighter, and more often when very hot or dry. Please keep me away from heaters in the winter as I may dry out quickly!

Symbolism: The Serissa's Wood element symbolizes growth and transformation, ultimately nurturing resilience, adaptation, and personal growth. Its Chi, 'Zhen,' stands for constancy and stability, with a strong power to cultivate an environment of strength and protection against negative energy. Fun fact: in Fengshui, Wood elements thrive in moist, shaded spots for optimal Chi flow.

Includes basic care instructions. Plate sold separately.
