I’m Tina, the Dwarfed Philippine Tea Tree or Carmona Microphylla and native to Southeast Asia. I have much smaller leaves than my sister, 'Shay' the Philippine Tea Tree. I’m a medicinal plant in some countries, where my leaves are used as a tea substitute to remedy stomach ailments. I also get small white flowers throughout the year that hang like pendants, symbolizing courage and heart. And when I'm happy enough, I can also bear small green fruits that turn a ripe red in the spring and summer months.
Keep me indoors in winter, where I’m fine as a houseplant, in temperatures between 60 ̊-80 ̊F. If you’d like, I can spend some time outdoors in the shade when the weather is nice. I like humidity and take bright to indirect bright light. Water every 5 days, or when my pot feels light again. To water, submerge my pot in water up to the rim for 10-20 minutes.
