This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it.

I’m Lizzie, the Chinzan Satsuki Azalea, an iconic tree native to Japan. I'm a wide, slow grower with a dense canopy making me excellent for natural broom styles. My dark evergreen leaves are thick and fuzzy and produce vibrant, bubblegum pink blooms from May to June.

I like bright conditions all year. The best spot for me would be one that gets morning sun with some afternoon shade.

To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for 5 minutes and let me drain thoroughly. Submerge about once every 5 days, or when my pot feels about 1/2 lighter. Never let my soil dry out. Keep me in temperatures above 50 F all year. For good air circulation, put me in a room with a fan or open window. In winter, put me in a cool spot indoors and away from any draft from heaters.

Symbolism: 'Satsuki' means 'May' in Japanese, referring to the month these trees begin blooming. In Japan, Azaleas are highly valued and have appeared in literature as early as the 8th century. Long considered symbols of nature's resilience, Azalea blossoms are picked as temple offerings and are a popular flower to gift to lovers, symbolizing romance and fertility.

Includes basic care instructions. We always recommend doing more research as each environment-- and tree!-- is unique. Plate sold separately.
