I’m Fred the Japanese Black Pine. I have a natural pine scent which gets stronger in the summer sun. As an evergreen, I prefer bright light, meaning at least 2-6 hours of direct sun per day. In the summer when afternoon sun is harsh, you can keep me in part shade. I am an outdoor bonsai, so please don't keep me indoors! I need winter temperatures of under 50F in order to properly go dormant.
Give me a deep watering by submerging my pot up to the rim once every 5 days, more often, even daily, when on very hot and sunny days in July and August.
