I’m ‘Ayana’, the Barbados Cherry and I'm native to the Caribbean. My leaves are evergreen and lanceolate shaped. I have small pink flowers that grow in clusters in the spring. Sometimes my flowers eventually turn into little red fruits that resemble cherries high in vitamin C which is used to make Acerola juice, jams and jellies. I like full sun to indirect bright natural light and warmer temperatures to bloom.
To water, submerge my pot in water for 15-20 minutes, and let me drain thoroughly. Submerge my pot up to the rim about once every 3-4 days, or when my pot feels about 1/2 lighter. Keep me in temperatures above 50 F all year. For good air circulation, put me in a room with a fan or open window.
Includes care instructions. Plate sold separately.
