I’m Koby, the Japanese Shimpaku. I am a classic tree used for Japanese bonsai, and develop more character with age. I've been wired into this shape recently. This copper wire will need to be cut off in spring of 2023.
I am an outdoor tree and must go through a winter dormant stage. Place me in a morning-sun or partial-shade location outdoors. During the winter months, keep me in temperatures between 25 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Watering: Submerge my pot up to the rim for 15 minutes, then set me aside to drain. In spring and summer my leaves will use a lot of water, so give me a drink if I start to droop. Water about once every 5-10 days, depending on how dry and sunny it is.
