This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it.

I’m Mizu, the Hokkaido Elm. I'm a Dwarf variation of the elm tree and am known for my dense arrangement of tiny leaves and branches which create a full size plant of tiny dimensions.

I'm native to Japan, Korea and China. I grow very slowly (about 1" per year), and show age through my stocky trunk. As I grow older, my bark begins to peel, revealing a corky, underlying tan-and-brown bark. Keep in mind, I'm a deciduous tree and can lose my leaves in winter. But I'm a prolific grower in spring and summer once my cute baby leaves start to bud.

I do best in full to partial sun conditions. You can water me once every 5-7 days, more often in the summer or when sun and heat is intense. To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for 5-10 minutes and let me drain thoroughly. In winter, put me in a cool spot indoors away from heaters. Keep my soil moist at all times and in the warm months, open up a window to let me feel the breeze.

Symbolism: As a Wood element tree in Feng Shui, the Elm conveys balance and stability. Its 'Zhen' Chi makes it an auspicious choice for the ability to attract positive energy, promoting success and good fortune in various parts of life.

Includes basic care instructions. We always recommend doing more research as each environment-- and tree!-- is unique. Plate sold separately.
