This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it!

I’m Bindi the Wiandi Banyan, and native to Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. I have curly branches that support a dense canopy. I represent the wild side of Banyan strength and energy, and can take shadier conditions than most other Banyan trees. I'm considered the beginner's bonsai for my relatively easy care and can tolerate a wide range of indoor conditions.

I have a main trunk that divides into many branches that support a dense canopy. With enough humidity, I’ll sport aerial roots that hang from my branches. I’m comfortable grown as a houseplant, but also like nice days spent outdoors.

Keep me in temperatures between 55-80 ̊F. I like bright indirect light, and get watered about once a week, or when my pot feels about 1/2 lighter. To water, submerge my pot in water up to the base of my trunk for 10 minutes and set me on a plate.

Symbolism: I'm highly regarded in Southeast Asia where you'll find me near temples and sacred places because of my strong spiritual significance. I'm also considered sacred by Buddhists. After attaining enlightenment, Buddha was believed to have sat under a Banyan tree for seven days, absorbed in his new-found realization.

The ficus is a symbol of longevity and immortality because I don't allow anything to distract my growth. I will continue life around anything in my path as I have the ability to survive and grow for centuries in the natural world.

Includes care instructions. Plate sold separately.
