'Jadé' the Dwarf Jade - #282
This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it!
I’m Jadé, the specimen Portulacaria afra Dwarf Jade and native to southern Africa. I'm about 12-15 years old. I am an evergreen succulent shrub known for my natural tree-like form. I'm a very popular tree not only for my very easy care but also because I'm known throughout Asia as a good luck charm. I'm also referred to as a Money Tree for my vibrant green leaves which resembles jade coins, a symbol of wealth and prosperity.
Keep me in a location that has direct or indirect bright sunlight a few hours a day. A southern, eastern or western facing window works well. To water, submerge my pot in water up to the rim for 15-20 minutes and then let me drain thoroughly. Do this when my leaves start to look wrinkly or feel soft. When it's nice and firm, I should still be fine with water. Dry, warm apartments might make me dry out quicker, so check on me once in a while. Take me outside on nice days in summer for warm summer air, which reminds me of home.

It is a traditional gift for businesses and many business owners place a Jade Plant near the entrance of their restaurants or shops, or in a southeast location to bring prosperity and success.
